While as impressive and upscale as his other projects, this newest venture from winemaker Jared Etzel feels much more personal. It’s a family collaboration with his wife Erica and brother-in-law Eugene Labunsky, and the tasting room reads more like a cozy modern home rather a commercial space. The position is perfect, a small 6.5 acre vineyard estate nestled on Worden Hill, in the middle of everything but still giving all the hidden gem vibes I love. The design is inspiring, the views are stunning, the hospitality is on point and the wines are elegant and interesting.
‘The Long Lunch’, their full meal offering to accompany the tasting, is also available by appointment – a rarity in the valley and a lovely way to spend the middle of your day tasting in the Dundee Hills. A must-visit for collectors and lovers of Etzel family wines.
