Food & wine travel, Oregon wine country lodging
Here's a curated list of where to eat, go wine tasting, shop and more in Oregon's wine country: our personal travel guide to the places we love most in Willamette Valley (including Newberg, Dundee, Carlton, McMinnville and Amity) and Portland metro areas.

McMinnville
Family-owned spot on Third Street serving recipes passed down through generations in the Fernandez family. The mole enchiladas and quesabirria are standouts, and the space itself is warm and personal … [read more]

Carlton
Crave-worthy sandwiches and comfort food is what they’re known for! My favorite sandwiches in the valley. The menu is hearty and satisfying, and the vibe is casual with indoor and outdoor seating. A great lunch stop when you’re tasting in the Carlton area.

Carlton
The cutest little local bakery serving up baked goods, sandwiches, salads, coffee and tea. Take out or eat-in; they have a few seats inside or a large patio in back. Their ‘Sea Biscuit’ cardamom pastries are a can’t-miss.

Amity

We’ve tried all the experiences at their old winery in Dundee, and just recently enjoyed the Table in the Trees tasting at their stunning new property in Amity…. [read more]

Dundee
One of the newer estates in the area, and such a gem: a full-time chef, stunning tasting room, vineyard views from every position, and knowledgeable hospitality. Their Wine Pairing Experience provides a full lunch and is fabulous quality for the price – it’s honestly one of the best paired tastings in the valley. … [read more]

Dundee
While as impressive and upscale as his other projects, this newest venture from winemaker Jared Etzel feels much more personal. It’s a family collaboration with his wife Erica and brother-in-law Eugene Labunsky, and the tasting room reads more like a cozy modern home rather a commercial space…. [read more]

Dundee
We’ve been enjoying Wooden Heart pizza and other wood-fired goodness from their food truck for years, so I was beyond excited about the opening of their new brick & mortar restaurant in Dundee! … [read more]

Newberg
Delicious French-inspired options at approachable prices with warm, efficient and friendly hospitality. The wine by the glass list has lots of fun options at equally fun prices, so you can try a few new things. Our go-tos: … [read more]
