McMinnville
Just outside the front door of our Park House vacation home, McMinnville’s City Park is a real gem. There’s a giant wood play structure for the kiddos, the library right next door, an aquatic center, and a hidden lower park area with a creek, picnic tables, BBQ grills and trails. Continue up the other side of the hill for pickleball and tennis courts.
McMinnville
Focused on German and Czech-style lagers, with a straightforward taproom in McMinnville’s Granary District that’s easy to pair with dinner plans. One of Oregon’s only all-lager breweries, small and no-frills but the beer is excellent. A favorite among craft beer lovers who appreciate traditional styles done right.
Carlton
Formerly the Crowing Hen, this is the sweetest little brewery tucked into the farmlands east of Carlton. It’s very family-friendly with plenty of room for kiddos to play while you enjoy a beer, and they have a delicious cheese and charcuterie plate. A fun detour if you’re tasting in the Carlton area and want a beer break.
Sherwood
Set on the edge of downtown Newberg, Chehalem offers a welcoming, contemporary space with expansive valley & Mt. Hood views and a flexible tasting experience that works well for groups. Their focus is on expressive, vineyard-driven wines sourced from their three estate vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. You can opt for a seated tasting on the covered patio or indoors, with the option to order a la carte dishes alongside.
Carlton
A beyond charming farmhouse and big red barn welcome you to this gorgeous property in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. From a cherry orchard to a wandering vineyard labyrinth, there’s a little something for everyone here, and we love the creativity showcased in their winemaking. The whole experience feels personal and unhurried.
Carlton
Crave-worthy sandwiches and comfort food is what they’re known for! My favorite sandwiches in the valley. The menu is hearty and satisfying, and the vibe is casual with indoor and outdoor seating. A great lunch stop when you’re tasting in the Carlton area.
Dundee
If you’re looking for something different, this is it! Artist Block is a modern gallery-meets-tasting room: fun, upscale, visually interesting, a little sexy and quite delicious.
